21 eateries, three bars, killer views. The new Time Out Market New York just opened this morning at Dumbo warehouse Empire Stores, 55 Water St., Brooklyn, and it’s unlike any market you’ve been to. Meals are served on real dishes with metal silverware and your table will be bussed by the Time Out Market staff when you’re finished. Feel free to lounge around in the comfy leather chairs after your meal to enjoy the view. The 5th floor roof deck look out over the East River with the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges in the forefront of what is arguably the best perspective of the Manhattan skyline.
All 21 restaurants in the two-story food hall were selected by the Time Out editorial team, and you’ll find just about anything you crave, from Israeli to Japanese, Kosher to Southern Comfort. The 21,000 square foot waterfront space will soon be home to the Time Out Stage, which will offer entertainment including live music and comedians.
Time Out is another instance of a company branching off from their core business to take advantage of a new revenue opportunity, and so far it’s working. New York is their third venue, having already opened markets in Lisbon and Miami. The company has future locations slated for Boston, Chicago, Montreal, Dubai, London, and Prague.
