Cozy Up With Your Valentine at These Winter Rooftop Bars

Just because the holidays are over doesn’t mean the magic should be lost. Let’s face it, it’s New York in the winter, which means we have a couple more months of cold and dark. Bring back the magic for your Valentine at these winter rooftop bars, starting with Cliquot Chalet at Mr. Purple pictured above. Enjoy a Veuve Clicquot champagne bar, steamy fondue, and fur throws in the company of purple deer heads–all with views of the Manhattan skyline.

Haven Rooftop at the Sanctuary Hotel is a great respite after the theater, or if you somehow find yourself with visiting relatives in the vicinity of Times Square.

Midwinter Nights’ Dream at PHD Terrace. The name really says it all. Fairy lights, a faux forest–you can’t help but expect Puck to come jumping out from behind a planter. Photo Michael Kleinberg Photography

Igloos at 230 Fifth and Time Out Market. Borrowing from the playbook of the legendary and expansive 230 Fifth, which has had its rooftop igloo bar for years with front-row seats of the Empire State Building, Time Out Market installed a Rooftop Iglounge with its own stunning views of lower Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge.

Snow Globe in the Sky at Ophelia. Another venue that’s name is a lovely discriptor, there’s very little about the Ophelia’s rooftop surroundings that aren’t glitzy and glamorous.

The Lodge at Gallow Green has its own fire pit perched atop The McKittrick Hotel, home to the legendary Sleep No More.

Dear Irving on Hudson scraps the ski lodge theme for more hip take on the cozy rooftop bar–with, of course, killer views of the Manhattan skyline.

Cheers to staying warm!
